Karlos Diaz (Granada) has devoted more than half his life to music.
Its beginnings date back to adolescence on the coast of Granada. There he writes his first texts for the publication of the centre where he studied, while listening to Radio3 every night, he records on cassette what hypnotises him and wants to be able to get it on vinyl.
Shortly after, he created his first fanzine, of which a couple of numbers are edited, and the controversial interview he did with some first-time Los Planetas was mythical.
His arrival in Granada in mid-1996 inspired him to accelerate a career that began with a new fanzine (Avo-Kaos) and collaborations in media such as Ideal, Mondosonoro and Canal Sur radio, in which he chose the Andalusian amateur band of the week every seven days.
At the end of the century and for much of the first decade of the 2000s, he was co-director of the southern edition of the prestigious publication Mondosonoro.
At the same time, he has programmed venues such as Industrial Copera, Plantabaja or Sugarpop, and created Extratonauta, a festival that for five editions brought bands such as Los Planetas, Love Of Lesbian, Lori Meyers, Dorian, Nacho Vegas to the city…
Over the last decade, he has focused his efforts on three very interesting projects, as artistic director of Ojeando Festival (Ojén), En Órbita (Granada) and the newborn Oh, See! (Málaga).
